This series provides everything a student needs to know to diagnose, service, and maintain diesel engine systems. This series is made up of three parts:

    Medium / Heavy Diesel Automotive Technician Level 1
    After completing this part of the course, you should be able to:
    Identify the role of the truck technician and guidelines for workplace safety
    Recall the components of the engine and their function
    Recognize the components of the engine powertrain, feedback assembly, and housing
    List steps for servicing engine lubrication, breathing, and cooling systems
    Identify the fundamentals for removing, cleaning, testing, and reassembling engines

    Medium / Heavy Diesel Automotive Technician Level 2
    After completing this part of the course, you should be able to:
    Define basic chemistry and combustion principles
    Identify diesel fuel characteristics and subsystems
    List components of fuel injection and principles of governing
    Recall the components and function of EUI systems
    Recognize the steps for diagnosing and managing common rail systems

    Medium / Heavy Diesel Automotive Technician Level 3
    After completing this part of the course, you should be able to:
    Identify types of vehicle electronic and computer communication systems
    List steps for maintaining electrical wiring and multiplexing
    Recall the fundamentals for maintaining electrical and hydraulic hybrids
    Recognize the steps for maintaining engines and exhaust systems
    Identify the steps for failure analysis and troubleshooting
